Whistler Blackcomb Resort

Downhill Skiing/Snowboarding – Whistler Blackcomb offers a variety of ski and snowboard programs for adults and children. They range from half to full day private lessons or group lessons, each catering to all ages and ability levels. They are a great way to freshen up your ski/snowboard abilities!
Cross-Country Skiing – More than 28 KM (17.5 miles) of track-set trails wind through Lost Lake and along neighboring Golf Course paths. The Lost Lake ticket booth, where you can get day passes, rental equipment and lessons, is only a 10-minute walk from The Fairmont Chateau Whistler.
Dog sledding – Enjoy one of the most traditional forms of snow travel as an energetic team of Alaskan Racing Huskies and their Musher lead you through the spectacular Soo or Callaghan Valleys.
Sleigh Rides – Enjoy a horse-drawn sleigh ride through a winter wonderland. Enquire about sleigh ride and dinner combinations available at The Chalet.
Snowmobiling – Take a 2 or 3 hour tour through some of Whistler’s most scenic backcountry at a leisurely and enjoyable pace. Fun family activity when you are looking for a day off from the slopes.
Snowshoeing – “If you can walk, you can snowshoe” Enjoy a walk in the woods or backcountry trails with the whole family on easy, moderate or challenging tours. All ages from 6 years and up are welcome.
Helicopter Sightseeing – See the birds-eye view of Whistler Valley and the surrounding area, from the comfort of a helicopter. A variety of tours are available ranging from 20 to 45minutes.
Helicopter Skiing/Snowboarding – There is nothing like the thrill of carving up the fresh powder in the high alpine with your fully guided group. Suitable for intermediate and advanced riders.
Ice Skating – There is nothing quite like skating on a frozen lake in the winter surrounded by the beautiful Coast Mountains. Ice skate rentals are available.(Outdoor options are weather dependent). Alternatively, Meadow Park Sports Centre offers indoor skating.
Peak 2 Peak Gondola Sightseeing – Take an enclosed gondola ride up Whistler Mountain and enjoy great views of the surrounding peaks as you ride the P2P Gondola to Blackcomb Mtn. Restaurant facilities are available at the top.
Whistler Blackcomb Tube Park – Located at Base Two on Blackcomb Mountain, the Coca-Cola Tube Park offers great fun for the young and young at heart. No skill or equipment required – just a sense of adventure and a desire for excitement! Open until 8pm.
Zipline Tours – Ride North America’s highest, longest and most exciting ziplines which are joined together by bridges, aerial stairways and ground-based trails. Trips are 2-3 hours in length. Open 365 days a year.

Activities – Indoors & After Hours

Meadow Park Sports Centre – Located 10 minutes north on Highway 99, this indoor sports facility features an indoor swimming pool, toddler wading pool and indoor ice-skating rink.

Village 8 Cinema – Whistler’s local movie theatre offers a weekly variety of films every day and evening. Visit the Concierge Desk for weekly showings. A video arcade is also located at the Cinema.
Rock Climbing – Offering over 4,000 square feet of indoor rock, including cracks, dihedrals and overhangs, Whistler’s only indoor climbing centre is a great activity. No experience necessary, guided and supervised climbing sessions are available and all ages are welcome.
Tennis – Enjoy an indoor game or tennis lessons at the Whistler Racquet Club located in Whistler Village.
Youth Centre – Whistler’s Youth Centre at Millennium Place offers computers, Nintendo, Sony Play stations, a mini skateboard ramp, a pool table, air hockey, a TV lounge and a big screen projection theatre. Open Wed/Thurs, 3:30 – 8:00 pm; Friday 3:30- 11:00 pm; Saturday, 6:00-10:00pm. A $3.50 drop in charge is applicable. Located in the Main Village.
Kids Climb & Dine – Located at The Core in the Telus Whistler Conference Centre. Children ages 4 – 6 can enjoy a 2-hour guided rock climbing session from 6:00 – 8:00 pm ($70) and children ages 6 – 14 can enjoy a 3-hour guided rock-climbing session from 6:00 – 9:00 pm ($70). Both sessions include a kid-style dinner.
Fire & Ice Show – Every Sunday evening at 6:30 pm at the base of the Whistler gondola, Whistler Blackcomb offers a welcome night event that highlights available activities in Whistler. It finishes with a thrilling performance of the mountain’s ski and snowboard pros jumping through a burning ring of fire.

Babysitting Services – Private baby-sitting is available with fully qualified nannies over the age of 20 with current First-Aid and CPR certification. Rates are $17.00/hour (4-hour minimum) and can be arranged through the Concierge Desk.
Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre – Offers an interactive cultural journey through Whistler’s Aboriginal art, history, music and dance. Take a guided or self guided tour Through the museum, exhibits and galleries. Located at the bottom of our drive way.
Whistler Museum – Located right behind the Library, the museum is a great place to spend an hour or two browsing Whistler’s unique history and artifacts. Don’t miss Whistler’s many art galleries too, featuring native art, sculpture, paintings and glass.
